You have normal weddings, big fat Indian weddings and then something that trumps them all – a big fat Bollywood wedding!
Shahid Kapoor’s rumoured wedding details have been hitting the headlines for months now, but it seems speculation surrounding the date and location of the big day can finally be put to bed, with an image of his official invitation card, which appears to be circulating all over the internet.
I’m sure you can see why this interests us (aside from the fact that we have a few avid Shahid fans in the team). It’s always intriguing to see what sort of invites celebrities opt for, as they often set the trend for other couples who are soon to be married.
We love the simplicity and elegance of Shahid Kapoor’s invitation which goes hand in hand with the couple’s chosen venue; the Grand Ballroom at The Oberoi hotel in Gurgaon. The beige box, simple text and subtle hint of colour reinforce the idea that not everything needs to be loud and busy to get noticed.
It’s often been custom in India to send out sweets and gifts with an invitation card, but to present some delicious delicacies within the invitation box itself keeps the whole presentation looking very sleek and neat.
